Nordic Defence Cooperation Syria

The Nordic Defence Cooperation (Nordefco) is a collaboration among the Nordic countries in the area of defense. Its five members are Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. The organization was established on November 4, 2009 in Helsinki. The leadership of the organization is rotational.

Syria is a country located in Middle East with an area of 185,180 km2 (land boundries: 2,363 km and costline 193 km). The capital of Syria is Damascus. The number of inhabitants is 17,500,657.

The SAF's inventory is comprised mostly of Russian and Soviet-era equipment. Russia has supplied nearly all of Syria's imported weapons systems, although China and Iran have also provided military equipment.
